Stoke City have finalised the signing of Schalke 04 winger Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting on a free transfer.

Manager Mark Hughes revealed at the weekend that he was hopeful of clinching the 28-year-old's signature.

The Cameroon international, who has made 200 appearances in the Bundesliga, has penned a three-year contract at the bet365 Stadium.

Chief executive Tony Scholes said: "Eric has been on our radar for several years and we actually tried to bring him to the club four years ago. We are understandably thrilled to have secured his signature and Eric is excited about the prospect of playing in the Premier League."
