Tottenham Hotspur full-back Danny Rose thanks "class act" Mauricio Pochettino for slowly integrating him back into his plans following a long time out injured.

Danny Rose has stressed that his relationship with manager Mauricio Pochettino is as good as ever, despite hitting out at Tottenham Hotspur's transfer activity during the summer.

The England international publicly questioned the Lilywhites' lack of spending towards the end of the window, while also confessing that he would be open to a move away.

Rose, who is working his way back to full fitness following nine months on the sidelines, insists that he still has a "great" understanding with Pochettino and is grateful for the support shown to him by his manager.

"Me and the gaffer are fine, we speak most days," Sky Sports News quotes him as saying. "The last three years, the lads will tell you I am the one in his office the most, speaking to him and going through videos and sharing text messages, even going round his house.

"Me and the manager are fine. He has been great at integrating me back into the team and getting me some minutes. I thought him putting me on against Real Madrid, even though it was only for 10 minutes, was a class act on his part, making me feel part of it again, even though he didn't need to bring me on.

"As far as I'm concerned me and the gaffer are great and as long as we've both got the same goals, which is to win a trophy for Tottenham, then there's nothing to worry about."

Rose also opened up on his frustration at spending the majority of 2017 out injured, having featured just three times since the end of January.
