Harry Kane wants Mauricio Pochettino to sign new Tottenham Hotspur deal

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane calls on Mauricio Pochettino to extend his contract at White Hart Lane, amid talk that Manchester United are interested.

Harry Kane has admitted that he is eager for Mauricio Pochettino to put pen to paper on a new deal at Tottenham Hotspur.

The Argentine is thought to have been offered terms on a fresh deal at White Hart Lane, despite having three years left to run on his current contract.

Pochettino admitted for the first time on Friday that he would be willing to extend his stay in North London, amid talk in the national press that Manchester United could make an audacious attempt to lure him away from the Lilywhites.

While speculation over the 44-year-old's future beyond this summer continues to rumble on, top scorer Kane has now had his say on the matter.

"He's a great manager and you want the best managers around the world at our club," he is quoted as saying by The Sun.

"When you have top managers you want them to stay around for a long time. You can see how the rest of the team has improved under him."

Pochettino joined Tottenham from Southampton in 2014 after impressing in his one-year spell on the south coast.
