Relive Sports Mole's minute-by-minute coverage of Tottenham Hotspur's impressive 2-0 win over Juventus in Saturday's Wembley Stadium pre-season friendly.

Tottenham Hotspur have ended their pre-season friendly programme on a high note after claiming a solid 2-0 win over Juventus at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

Harry Kane opened the scoring 10 minutes into the first half, while Christian Eriksen doubled Spurs' lead not long after the restart.

The Bianconeri weighed in with several decent chances and finished the game strongly, but the hosts had an inspired Hugo Lloris to thank for several impressive saves.

However, there was a big negative for Spurs as Kieran Trippier had to be taken off in the first half following two clashes with opposition full-back Alex Sandro.

Find out how all of the action unfolded courtesy of Sports Mole's minute-by-minute coverage below.

4.30pmHello and welcome to Sports Mole's live text commentary of Saturday's pre-season friendly between Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus at Wembley Stadium.

4.33pmWith the start of the Premier League season just a week away, Mauricio Pochettino's charges have a final chance to get accustomed to their temporary home for the upcoming campaign against high-profile opposition today.

4.35pmJuve, meanwhile, are looking to continue their strong pre-season form ahead of the new Serie A campaign, as they prepare to challenge for what would be their seventh consecutive Scudetto, and will also want to fine-tune on the continental level too.

4.37pmWithout further ado, here are the team news from Wembley.

4.39pmTOTTENHAM STARTING XI: Lloris; Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies; Dier, Dembele; Sissoko, Eriksen, Dele; Kane

4.41pmJUVENTUS STARTING XI: Buffon; Lichtsteiner, Rugani, Chiellini, Sandro; Khedira, Pjanic; Costa, Dybala, Mandzukic; Higuain

4.44pmPretty much a full-strength starting XI for Spurs this afternoon as they bid to finish their pre-season off with a bang. Interestingly, Moussa Sissoko is not only in the squad, but will start the game. Reports had suggested that he would be travelling to Turkey today to finalise a loan move to Trabzonspor, but he will be on the pitch from the off.

4.47pmLikewise, Juventus line up with a starting XI featuring most of their strongest players. Alex Sandro, a reported target for Chelsea, will be on the pitch from the off, while evergreen goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is between the sticks for what could perhaps be his final appearance in London.

4.50pmMauricio Pochettino's side have already faced Paris Saint-Germain, Roma and Manchester City this summer, and will get the chance to prove themselves against another high-profile side today - the Serie A champions and Champions League finalists.

4.53pmThe Bianconeri have faced similar opposition, beating PSG and Roma, but they have also played Barcelona, losing to the Catalans back in July.

4.55pmSpurs will play their home games at England's national stadium for the duration of the season, so today's match will give them an opportunity to get used to their surroundings before the start of the campaign. And given they won just once in four games here last season, they will be desperate to do so.

4.58pmThe North Londoners will begin their season in the North East against newly promoted Newcastle United, but their first opponents at Wembley - none other than Premier League champions Chelsea.

5.00pmSpeaking ahead of kickoff, Pochettino told reporters: "Higuain and Dybala I know very well. It is exciting to play against them and compete against one of the best teams in Europe. It is a good opportunity for us to play against a big team at Wembley. It is true that it will be a tough game but it is always important before the start of the competition to make your level against a team like Juventus."

5.03pmHEAD TO HEAD: Tottenham and Juventus have met just once before and that came only last summer in the International Champions Cup pre-season competition. The Old Lady ran out 2-1 winners in Melbourne thanks to two early goals from Paulo Dybala and Medhi Benatia, while Erik Lamela scored a consolation.

5.06pmChristian Eriksen, one of Tottenham's key players, has urged his teammates to learn from Juve as they bid to improve their record in the Champions League. He said: "Nearly all clubs in Europe will be looking at Juventus. They have had a number of different players and have changed coaches, but they have always managed to keep a certain stability and we can learn from it, because we are also on the right path in terms of stability.

5.09pm"Juventus have always been a top club. They had some bad years in the last decade but they bounced back and they are very strong again. It's a good chance for us to test ourselves in the environment where we'll be playing Champions League matches."

5.12pmSpurs goalkeeper and captain Hugo Lloris, meanwhile, has hailed his opposite number Gianluigi Buffon as one of the game's greats.

5.15pmThe Frenchman said: "There is something special and it's difficult to describe it, but he's a player who can inspire those around him. When I was younger I was completely a fan. He's the kind of player who can inspire you and when I was 15, 16, that kind of player and Iker Casillas as well, they both started so young and that was an inspiration for me. I wanted to start young as well and that's what I did.

5.18pm"After 16 seasons he shows he has the same ambition and motivation as in the past. To stay at the top at that age means you have to work harder than others and that's why he's the best. In terms of longevity, it's amazing what he's done."

5.21pmSCORE PREDICTION: Though it's only a friendly, both sides will be eager to impress in their final run-out before they're flung into competitive action. That said, I think Juve will have just a bit too much for Spurs, so I reckon it'll be a 2-0 away win.

5.24pm

5.27pmBoth sets of players now prepare to make their way back out onto the pitch - the hosts in their standard home kit, the visitors in their green number.

0 minKICKOFF! We're underway at Wembley, where only the lower tier is in use - the stadium is only about half full.

2 minSpurs are seeing more of the ball in these early stages, but the Juve defence is not being troubled too much.

4 minAnd an early injury scare for Spurs as Trippier is down clutching his leg after a challenge from Sandro. He's going to receive treatment on the pitch.

6 minThat was a bit of a rash challenge from Sandro, studs up, but luckily Trippier is able to get up and continue playing, albeit gingerly.

8 minJuve win a corner kick, which Dybala takes, but it comes to nothing as the ball harmlessly heads out of play.

10 minGOAL! SPURS 1-0 JUVENTUS (HARRY KANE)

11 minWe have the breakthrough at Wembley and it goes Tottenham's way, and what a great team goal that was! The ball is worked up the pitch to Trippier, who sends a wonderful pinpoint cross to the back post for Kane to thump home a bullet header!

12 minCHANCE! The momentum is firmly with Spurs and they threaten again as Eriksen lets rip with a shot from range and forces Juve keeper Buffon to punch the ball away.

15 minSpurs now win a free kick in a dangerous area just outside the box, which Kane fires into the wall and out for a corner, but nothing happens from the ensuing set piece as Buffon claims.

16 minNow Juve threaten as Costa picks out the path of the running Lichtsteiner with a pinpoint pass and the Swiss then launches a cross into the Spurs box, but Lloris comes out to thwart the danger.

18 minCHANCE! The first of the game from Juventus as Dybala edges into some space and has a go, but sends his effort high over the crossbar from the edge of the area.

21 minJuve are starting to look more dangerous, with Higuain finding Dybala in an onside position with a great flick, but the latter can't sort his feet out and his attempted pass is turned behind for a corner.

22 minCHANCE! Lloris pulls off a great save to keep his team ahead - Juve continue to threaten with three corners in quick succession, with the last one finding Higuain in space just yards from goal, but the Frenchman leaps to his right to push the point-blank effort away.

25 minThe pendulum now appears to be swinging back Spurs' way as they win a corner on the left-hand side, but Rugani heads clear with ease.

27 minHere come Spurs again... Kane sends a great cross towards Alli at the far post, but Chiellini does well to jump and head the ball clear.

31 minCHANCES! Kane has two great opportunities to extend Tottenham's lead, but fails to make the most of them. First he rounds Buffon and slots towards goal, only for a last-ditch Chiellini clearance to deny him, and moments later he has an open goal at the far post, but fires into the hands of the Juve keeper!

34 minCHANCE! Spurs break from a corner and Alli releases Sissoko, who bears down on goal and lets rip from the edge of the box, but the ball ricochets off the post and away!

37 minAlli decides to have a go from range, but the effort does not trouble Buffon at all as the ball sails high over the bar.

41 minSUBSTITUTION: Trippier cannot continue following a combination of that earlier challenge from Sandro and a slide tackle of his own on the Brazilian, so he comes off and Kyle Walker-Peters comes on in his place.

45 minHALF TIME: TOTTENHAM 1-0 JUVENTUS

6.21pmA promising first half from Spurs against Juve, with Harry Kane opening the scoring 10 minutes in after a great Kieran Trippier cross, and the England striker had several more opportunities to extend his side's lead, while Moussa Sissoko also put in a decent display and struck the woodwork midway through the half.

6.23pmJuventus did not get into gear until halfway through the first half, but threatened through Paulo Dybala, Gonzalo Higuain and Mario Mandzukic. Hugo Lloris had to be at his best to keep out a point-blank chance from Higuain.

6.27pmOne issue for Spurs, however, is the injury to Trippier. He had to receive treatment early on after an Alex Sandro challenge and, late on in the first half, he launched into a tackle of his own on the Brazilian and came off worse, prompting Mauricio Pochettino to make a substitution.

6.30pmKyle Walker-Peters has come on in Trippier's place, so he now gets a chance to show his manager whether he is up to scratch in terms of occupying the senior right-back position, but many fans on social media are desperately calling on Spurs to make a new signing in that area before the start of the season.

46 minKICKOFF: We're back underway at Wembley for the second half.

47 minJuve have brought on Marchisio, De Sciglio, Cuadrado and Asamoah, while Spurs have made no changes at the break, though Walker-Peters came on for Trippier in the first half - the 20-year-old now charges down the right flank but sees his cross cut out.

48 minDybala tries a crossfield pass in a bid to find Costa, but it's a touch too heavy and the ball bounces out of play.

52 minGOAL! TOTTENHAM 2-0 JUVENTUS (CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN)

53 minSpurs have doubled their lead against Juve and it's no less than they deserve! Alli is the architect as he collects the ball outside the box and his deft through-ball finds Eriksen, who skilfully rounds Buffon and rifles into the empty net!

55 minCHANCE! So close to a third for Spurs! Kane finds space in the box and takes a shot, but the ball crashes against the bar and is then hacked clear!

57 minCHANCE! And at the other end, Juve come within a whisker of halving the deficit, Dybala collecting the ball inside the six-yard box but firing just wide of the post!

59 minCHANCE! Juve come close once again as Cuadrado tees up Dybala to shoot from the edge of the area and it's a delightful curling effort, but Lloris dives to his right and tips the ball wide!

65 minSUBSTITUTIONS: Spurs make a double change as Winks and Georgiou come on, Alli and Sissoko making way for them.

68 minCuadrado makes headway down the right flank once again and tries to cross towards Dybala, but Vertonghen weighs in with a great sliding tackle to get the ball away.

69 minTrippier, who had to come off earlier in the game, has been spotted wearing a protective boot and on crutches.

70 minJuve are beginning to look more dangerous now as Cuadrado looks for Dybala in the centre, but the flag is up for offside.

75 minKane wins a corner after his effort is deflected out of play, but Davies's set piece is cleared by the Juve back line.

76 minNow the Bianconeri head up the pitch and Marchisio attempts a cross from the left, which is easily claimed by Lloris.

78 minSUBSTITUTION: Kane's shift is over, Pochettino replacing him up front with Janssen.

81 minCHANCE! Juve are not giving up and come close once again as Dybala wins the ball on the wing and finds Kean in space in the area, but his effort cannons off the bar!

85 minCHANCE! A strong finish from the Bianconeri here at Wembley - this time, Cuadrado lets rip from range, and Lloris gets just enough of a touch on the ball to tip it against the bar and over.

89 minNot long until this game is over and the Spurs defence has to be alert once again as Vertonghen weighs in with an impressive tackle before Bernardeschi rifles a shot narrowly wide.

90 minSUBSTITUTIONS: Eriksen and Dembele are taken off and replaced by Wimmer and Oakley-Boothe as two minutes of stoppage time are announced.

90+2 minFULL TIME: TOTTENHAM 2-0 JUVENTUS

7.22pmSo that's full time and Spurs end their pre-season programme on a high after a solid 2-0 win over Juventus, thanks to goals from Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen, but it came at a price as Kieran Trippier was taken off in the first half following two challenges with Alex Sandro, and was later spotted in crutches.

7.25pmThat's all we have time for here at Wembley but don't go anywhere - Sports Mole is on hand to bring you all the latest news, views and developments from the world of football! Thank you for following and, until next time, goodbye!
