France Under-21s beat ten-man Scotland Under-21s, with a Stephen Kingsley own goal and a Corentin Tolisso strike enough to give Pierre Mankowski's side a 2-1 victory.

France Under-21s have emerged victorious over Scotland Under-21s, who finished the game with ten men, at Pittodrie.

France took the lead after 11 minutes in fortunate circumstances.

Stephen Kingsley saw his attempted clearance off Thomas Lemar's cross ricochet off Stuart Findlay and into Scotland keeper Jack Hamilton's net to hand Pierre Mankowski's side the advantage.

Ryan Gauld almost levelled the scores minutes later but his effort rattled Mouez Hassen's crossbar.

Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso doubled France's lead early in the second half, beating Hamilton from range.

With 74 minutes of the tie expired, Sporting Lisbon forward Gauld saw red for a late tackle on Marcus Coco.

Billy King grabbed a consolation for Scotland deep into stoppage time but it was too little too late for Ricky Sbragia's men.

With two fixtures played apiece, both France and Scotland sit on three points in their Euro 2017 Under-21 qualifying table.
