The Scottish Football Association confirms that Rangers have submitted an appeal against Ryan Jack's red card against Hibernian on Saturday.

Rangers have submitted an appeal against Ryan Jack's red card in their 3-2 defeat to Hibernian on Saturday.

The 25-year-old was sent off by referee John Beaton following a melee during the Scottish Premiership clash at Ibrox in which he appear to clash with Anthony Stokes.

Following the game, Gers boss Pedro Caixinha appeared to suggest that Stokes should have been sent off for his part in the incident, and hinted towards making an appeal.

The Scottish Football Association has confirmed that Rangers, Motherwell and Hearts all lodged paperwork to challenge red cards from the weekend's matches, which saw six players dismissed in total.

All cases will be heard by a tribunal on Thursday.
