Netherlands manager Danny Blind has dropped Robin van Persie ahead of his side's Euro 2016 Group A qualifier against Iceland in Amsterdam.

Schalke 04 striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar starts in place of the Fenerbahce forward - who drops to the bench - while Arjen Robben is named as captain.

Ajax youngster Davy Klaassen is rewarded for his recent form with a start in midfield, earning just his third international cap, while Bruno Martins Indi is preferred to Ajax teen Jairo Riedewald at centre-half.

Iceland coaches Lars Lagerback and Heimir Hallgrimsson have made just one change to the team which beat Czech Republic, preferring Viking FK winger Jon Bodvarsson over the experienced Emil Hallfredsson.

Johan Berg Gudmundsson and Kolbeinn Sigthorsson lead the line up top, flanked by Swansea City midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson.
