Napoli dominate but fail to break the deadlock as the first half of their Serie A match against Genoa ends goalless.

Napoli have been unable to find the breakthrough following a goalless first half in their Serie A match against Genoa this afternoon.

The visitors were first to threaten when Jose Callejon created some space to shoot outside the box, before curling in a low strike that was pushed behind by Mattia Perin.

Dries Mertens was next to try his luck for Napoli when he burst into the box and flashed an effort beyond the keeper and inches wide of the far post.

In the final minute of the half, Gonzalo Higuain dragged an effort from the edge of the box wide of the target, as the teams headed into the dressing rooms all square.
