Manchester United reject a bid from Tottenham Hotspur for French attacker Anthony Martial, according to a report.

Manchester United have reportedly rejected a bid from Tottenham Hotspur for French attacker Anthony Martial.

Martial, 21, has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer after struggling to hold down a regular spot in Jose Mourinho's team during the 2016-17 campaign.

The France international managed 11 Premier League goals in his first season with United, but registered just four last term, and he did not play a single minute of the UEFA Super Cup against Real Madrid last week.

According to RMC Sport, Tottenham made an attempt to sign Martial, but United were quick to reject the offer as Mourinho wants to keep the former AS Monaco attacker.

Both Tottenham and United will open their new Premier League campaigns on Sunday afternoon, with the former travelling to Newcastle United before the latter welcome West Ham United.
