Barcelona are reportedly hopeful of agreeing a new contract with prospect Ilaix Moriba, who is attracting interest from the Premier League.

A number of Premier League clubs are reportedly handed a blow in the race to sign Barcelona midfielder Ilaix Moriba.

The teenager was provided with 14 appearances in La Liga last season, suggesting that Ronald Koeman regards the player as a big part of his plans.

However, Moriba currently has less than 12 months remaining on his contract, a scenario which has naturally resulted in interest from the Premier League.

Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are all said to be monitoring the situation at a time when the Catalan giants need to boost their financial position.

That said, according to Goal, Barcelona have made considerable progress in discussions over a three-year deal.

Moriba is allegedly keen to stay at Camp Nou having progressed through the club's academy system.
