Harry Maguire thinks price tag is justified

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has said that his £80m transfer from Leicester City over the summer was "a good deal" for both clubs and has also urged United fans to judge his performances over the long term.
Speaking to Inside United, Maguire said: "In five or six years' time, judge me then - whether I have been a success at this club or not. And I do believe and am really confident that, in five or six years' time, I'll be a success and I am sure we'll have many, many good times here."
Of his transfer fee, he added: "It doesn't bother me at all. It's something that I can't affect. Leicester wanted to keep me and they are in a great position as a club. Manchester United wanted to buy me and they came to an agreement. It's probably a good deal for both parties and it's something now where I want to concentrate on my football. We need to keep improving as a team, not just me as an individual. I feel, if we improve as a team, I'll be a success too."
Luiz reveals Lampard chat led to his Chelsea exit

David Luiz has admitted that a frank chat with new Chelsea boss Frank Lampard led to him leaving the club for rivals Arsenal over the summer. The defender told Brazilian journalist Mauro Cezar: "It was an individual decision made through honest conversation – between me and Frank Lampard, no-one else. We had a different idea of the future of the game and that's why I chose to take a new path.
"It's always very difficult because of the rivalry, but I made the decision to leave Chelsea even before receiving Arsenal's bid. As soon as I decided to leave Chelsea – after a few days – Arsenal's proposal came, and as it was another great club, I didn't think twice. It's hard for rivalry, yes, but I couldn't help but live a new story, in a new place, in a big club just because of the rivalry."
Eric Dier: 'Spurs are in a crisis'

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Dier has admitted that the side are in "crisis" following their recent terrible run of form. Mauricio Pochettino's side were humiliated in a 7-2 defeat by Bayern Munich in front of their own fans last week before losing 3-0 at Brighton & Hove Albion a few days later.
"We are obviously going through a difficult period," Dier told reporters. "Is saying it's a crisis a bit too strong? No. If you lose like we've lost in these last two games, it's normal. For us, this is the worst period we've been in, but we have to be all together and push through it. It's the first time that we've found ourselves in this position, we can't back down from it. We've got to push through it."
Nathan Jones: 'I've never considered quitting'

Stoke City manager Nathan Jones has revealed that he has never considered leaving the club despite their terrible start to the season. Jones has been tipped for the sack for weeks after the Potters took just two points from their opening 10 league games but last weekend they managed their first win with a 2-1 victory at Swansea City.
"I never considered walking away because that's not my character," Jones told talkSPORT. "If I felt I couldn't affect it, or we were in such a place where we were getting beaten comfortably week in, week out, then I would speak to the owners. But that has never been the case, so I've never considered walking away. It has been a test of my character, a test of my resolve, and sometimes it does test your philosophy and what you believe in. But you never waver from that."
Mata admits top four will be "difficult"

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has conceded that it will be "difficult" for his side to qualify for the Champions League this season. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have won just two of their opening eight games of the season to leave them 12th in the Premier League table going into the international break.
"I think every club is improving and clubs like Leicester are recruiting really well and they have very good players that can take them to a different level," Mata told Sky Sports News. "Not long ago [Leicester] won the Premier League so they know what it takes to win. Football is more difficult now because every club is growing a lot so it's more competitive and every club is able to sign good players. So you have to be better every single season to try and reach your aims."

Wilfried Zaha sues agent over failed Palace exit

Crystal Palace striker Wilfried Zaha has started legal action against his agent, Will Salthouse of Unique Sports Management, after he failed to secure an exit from Selhurst Park over the summer, according to the Daily Mail. The 26-year-old was courted by Arsenal and Everton in a potential £50m+ transfer but stayed put at Palace. The newspaper says that Zaha has alleged that his management company are too close to Palace chairman Steve Parish and that relationship has prevented him from leaving.
Dani Ceballos "very happy" at Arsenal

Dani Ceballos has insisted that he is "very happy" at Arsenal and has no regrets over leaving Real Madrid on loan for the season. The 23-year-old's comments to Spanish media represent a huge boost for Unai Emery's side, who are keen to bring him to the Emirates on a permanent deal at the end of the season.
"Going to Arsenal has been a very important step in my career," he told reporters. "I don't feel sorry for not being in Madrid. Right now I am where I want to be and I am very happy. My idea was to go out, play and enjoy football. In the previous two years I had not done so."
