Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly considering whether to enter the race to sign Preston North End defender Ben Davies.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly identified Preston North End defender Ben Davies as a potential signing.

Despite using three at the back under Nuno Espirito Santo, Wolves are well stocked for options in the centre of their defence.

However, according to The Sun, the West Midlands outfit are one of a number of teams who are contemplating an approach for Davies during the January window.

The 24-year-old has been an ever-present for the North-West side in the Championship this season, helping the club to sit in third place in the standings.

Everton, Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion are also said to be monitoring Davies, who has less than two years remaining on his contract at Deepdale.
