Manchester United reportedly hold an advantage over Inter Milan in the race to sign Corinthians defender Guilherme Arana.

Manchester United have reportedly opened negotiations with Corinthians over the signing of defender Guilherme Arana.

United are allegedly going head to head with Inter Milan to sign the Brazilian left-back, who has represented his country at Under-20 level.

However, according to Calciomercato, United have the edge over the Italian giants due to Inter's restrictions on being able to sign non-EU players.

It has been suggested that United have already held talks with Arana's agent as they look to secure a potential replacement for Luke Shaw.

While Shaw has made 12 appearances this season, he has been criticised by United manager Jose Mourinho.
