Chelsea confirm that striker Alexandre Pato has returned to Corinthians after the completion of his loan spell at Stamford Bridge.

Striker Alexandre Pato has returned to Corinthians after the completion of his loan spell with Chelsea.

The Brazilian international has previously spoken of his desire to remain at Stamford Bridge, but after failing to secure regular playing time and the arrival of new coach Antonio Conte, he has returned to his homeland.

The 26-year-old made just two appearances for the Blues, coming off the bench and scoring a penalty against Aston Villa before making his one and only start against Swansea City a week later.

Chelsea have also confirmed that Radamel Falcao is back with Monaco after scoring just one goal in two starts and 10 substitute appearances.

Third-choice goalkeeper Marco Amelia has been released without playing a game for the Premier League side.
