Manchester United and Arsenal could make offers for Rangers captain James Tavernier this summer, according to a report.

Manchester United and Arsenal are both reportedly considering making offers for Rangers captain James Tavernier during this summer's transfer window.

The 29-year-old joined the Gers from Wigan Athletic in 2015 and has made 289 appearances for the Scottish giants in all competitions, contributing 65 goals and 90 assists in the process.

Man United are thought to be keen to sign a new right-back this summer as competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, while Arsenal could need to replace Hector Bellerin, who continues to be linked with a move away.

According to 90min, Man United are showing an interest in Tavernier, while Arsenal are also admirers of a player who scored 19 goals and registered 16 assists in 46 appearances at club level last term.

The report claims that Brighton & Hove Albion and Norwich City are keeping a close eye on developments, but the pair would struggle to compete if either Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side or the Gunners made a move.

Tavernier still has three years left to run on his contract with the Scottish champions.
