Andreas Pereira admits to being unhappy with his lack of playing time under Louis van Gaal and says that the mood is now much improved under Jose Mourinho.

Manchester United youngster Andreas Pereira has accused former boss Louis van Gaal of failing to keep his word last season.

The 20-year-old was told that he could not leave on loan due to first-team commitments, but was used just four times in the Premier League.

Pereira admits to being unhappy with Val Gaal's conduct and insists that the atmosphere is now much improved under new manager Jose Mourinho, having been granted his wish to play regular football elsewhere on loan at Granada.

"During the season a lot of things happened," The Sun quotes him as saying. "I think he is a very good coach but unfortunately he couldn't keep his word to me. It didn't happen, I didn't get to play so hopefully I can play now and have a good season.

"I spoke with Mourinho and he was honest with me and that's what I like. A lot of things changed and a lot of people changed. People are happier and more relaxed. It is a different atmosphere than last year. People can do their jobs easier and I think everything has come together."

Pereira made a total of 11 appearances for United last season, with his only two starts coming in the League Cup.
