Marcus Rashford is scheduled to have showdown talks with Manchester United as he allegedly pushes for an operation on a long-standing shoulder injury.

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is reportedly keen to have a shoulder operation as soon as possible.

Despite carrying the injury since November, the 23-year-old continued to feature for United on a regular basis before representing England at Euro 2020.

According to the Daily Mail, United had hoped that the player's break from action would resolve the issue, allowing him to start pre-season training as planned.

However, the report claims that Rashford will tell Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Tuesday that he wants to have surgery.

Should United agree to the request, the versatile attacker would be sidelined until October at the earliest.

Rashford still managed to play 64 matches for club and country during the last campaign.
