Jose Mourinho's disciplinary record

The Portuguese has been charged by the Football Association again.

Jose Mourinho has been charged by the Football Association again over comments made after Manchester United's victory over Newcastle at Old Trafford on October 6. It is alleged the United boss used language that was "insulting and/or abusive and/or improper".

The Portuguese has had numerous brushes with authority over the years.

Here, Press Association Sport looks at his disciplinary record since the start of his second spell at Chelsea in 2013 and during his United reign.

Cardiff dismissal (October 19, 2013)

Sent to the stands during Chelsea's 4-1 win over Cardiff by referee Anthony Taylor.

Disciplined: Charge of improper conduct accepted. Fine of £8,000.

Touchline ticking-off (March 15, 2014)

Dismissed by referee Chris Foy during an ill-tempered Chelsea loss at Aston Villa.

Disciplined: Contested a charge of improper conduct, unsuccessfully. Fined £8,000 and warned over future conduct.

Black day against Black Cats (April 19, 2014)

Following his first home Premier League loss as Chelsea boss, Sunderland ending Mourinho's 77-game unbeaten Stamford Bridge run, he made a sarcastic appraisal of referee Mike Dean and referees' chief Mike Riley.

Disciplined: Failed in a challenge over charges and was fined £10,000.

Saints and a sinner (December 28, 2014)

Complained of a "clear campaign" against Chelsea after Cesc Fabregas was denied a penalty and instead booked in a 1-1 draw at Southampton.

Disciplined: Fined £25,000 after unsuccessfully contesting improper conduct charge.

Another Saintly episode (October 3, 2015)

Criticised referee Bobby Madley following a 3-1 loss to Southampton, saying referees were "afraid" to give Chelsea penalties and told officials to "be honest with us".

Disciplined: Judged to have implied bias, fined £50,000 and given a suspended one-match stadium ban. Had an appeal rejected.

Hammered (October 24, 2015)

After Chelsea imploded late in the first half, Mourinho was sent to the stands at West Ham for a half-time "discussion" with referee Jonathan Moss.

Disciplined: Handed one-match stadium suspension with immediate effect and fined £40,000 after admitting FA charge of misconduct. Opted not to appeal and missed a match at Stoke.

Referee reference (October 27, 2016)

Charged with misconduct after commenting about referee Taylor prior to Manchester United's goalless draw at Liverpool.

Disciplined: Mourinho accepted his comments constituted improper conduct but denied they brought the game into disrepute – although the FA ruled otherwise. Fined £50,000 and warned as to future conduct.

Clarets confusion (October 29, 2016)

Mourinho was sent to the stands for the second half against Burnley by referee Mark Clattenburg after allegedly using "abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official" in the tunnel at half-time.

Disciplined: Mourinho admitted the charge and was given a one-match touchline ban and a fine of £8,000.

Hammered again (November 27, 2016)

Mourinho was sent to the stands for the second time in 30 days after kicking a water bottle in a furious reaction to a booking for Paul Pogba during the 1-1 home draw with West Ham.

Disciplined: Banned for another game and fined £16,000.
