Maurizio Sarri: 'Manchester United have best players in Premier League'

Sarri: 'United have best players in PL'

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri claims that Manchester United have 'player-by-player the best team in the Premier League'.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has claimed that Manchester United have 'player-by-player the best team in the Premier League' ahead of Saturday's meeting between the two teams.

United have already lost three times in the Premier League this season, and sit down in eighth position in the table, seven points behind second-placed Chelsea.

The Red Devils have struggled to hit top gear in the early weeks of the 2018-19 campaign, but Sarri has claimed that Jose Mourinho can call upon 'maybe the best set of players in the Premier League'.

That said, the Chelsea manager has said that the reigning champions Manchester City "are better as a team".

"They are a very strong team. Maybe, player-by-player, they are the best team in the Premier League," Sarri told reporters. "At the moment I think City are better as a team, but player by player, they are really very, very strong. So I don't know if they will play us or try and play their football."

Alvaro Morata scored the only goal of the match in the corresponding Premier League fixture last season as Chelsea claimed all the points in front of their own supporters.
