Manchester United's Memphis Depay concedes that he "went crazy" after he was substituted against his former club PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League earlier this season.

Manchester United winger Memphis Depay has revealed that he "went crazy" when he was substituted against his former club PSV Eindhoven last month.

The 21-year-old started the Champions League group encounter, which ended in a 0-0 draw, but he was replaced shortly after the restart by Ashley Young.

Speaking about that moment, the Dutchman told AD: "The most difficult moment was when I got substituted against PSV at Old Trafford.

"That hurt a lot. I wanted to perform against my former club and then I got substituted after one half already.

"Yeah, I went crazy. Angry, too. At the same time, anger like that doesn't block me. It's just helping me. I will be better eventually, I know that."

In the same interview, Depay also admitted that he is determined to become the best player in the world.
