Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Newcastle United could line up for Friday's Premier League clash with Manchester City.

Newcastle United will be without star striker Callum Wilson for Friday's visit of newly-crowned Premier League champions Manchester City.

The Englishman scored his 12th Premier League goal of the season in last week's 4-2 win against Leicester City, but he injured him hamstring and will miss United's last three games.

Wilson joins Isaac Hayden, Jamaal Lascelles, Karl Darlow and Ryan Fraser on a growing injury list, while Fabian Schar is serving a suspension after being sent off against Arsenal.

However, the loss of Wilson is not too big a blow for Newcastle, with their place in the Premier League next season being confirmed on Monday with Fulham's loss to Burnley.

Steve Bruce also has the option of partnering Joelinton with Allan Saint-Maximin up top, with Matt Ritchie and Jacob Murphy favourites to get the nod in the wing-back slots.

In-form Joe Willock has four goals in four games and is certain to start in central midfield, likely alongside Jonjo Shelvey and Miguel Almiron, who will provide attacking support.

At the back, Ciaran Clark was only fit enough for a place among the substitutes against Leicester, but he should be available to play a full part against the champions.

Newcastle possible starting lineup: Dubravka; Fernandez, Clark, Dummett; Murphy, Almiron, Shelvey, Willock, Ritchie; Saint-Maximin, Joelinton
