Liverpool reportedly start to consider other options after growing frustrated with Roma's stance on winger Mohamed Salah.

Liverpool have reportedly started to consider other options rather than continue their pursuit of Roma winger Mohamed Salah.

In recent days, it has been claimed that the Merseyside giants were ready to push through a deal for the Egyptian international, who has impressed in Serie A over the last two seasons.

However, Roma president James Pallotta had indicated that a transfer was far from complete and according to the Liverpool Echo, their asking price appears to be the stumbling block.

It has been suggested that Roma are not prepared to meet a compromise over their £35m valuation, with Liverpool said to have already had an offer of £28m rejected for the former Chelsea man.

Last summer, Roma paid the West Londoners just £12m for his signature but he scored 19 goals from 39 appearances in all competitions during the most recent campaign.

Salah time with Chelsea was a disappointing one, with just 10 starts and nine substitute outings coming during a 12-month period before he was loaned out to Fiorentina.
