Jurgen Klopp praises Mohamed Salah after the Liverpool forward grabs his 40th goal of the season in Saturday's 3-0 win over Bournemouth.

Jurgen Klopp has sung Mohamed Salah's praises after the Liverpool forward celebrated his 40th goal of the season on Saturday.

The Egypt international was on target in the Reds' 3-0 win over Bournemouth, becoming the first Reds player since Ian Rush in 1986-87 to break the 40-goal mark in a season.

Salah has enjoyed a remarkable debut campaign following his summer arrival from Serie A side Roma, leading the Golden Boot race with 30 Premier League goals ahead of Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane.

"It's all about him and all about us, how we finish the season," Klopp told reporters after the Cherries game.

"It's completely normal that a boy in that situation wants to be top of the scoring list, the Golden Boot.

"But we cannot force it; so, pass, shoot, pass, shoot, that's the normal thing to do. It's good and impressive. What a number. Wow!

"And what a number we scored as a team in the whole season, that's crazy. That's really good but we have to carry on, there are a few games to come."

Salah's goals and assists have earned Liverpool 15 points this term, more than any other Premier League player.
