Italy made it nine games unbeaten while at the same time inflicting a fifth-successive defeat on Uruguay by picking up a 3-0 win in Wednesday's friendly encounter.
The Azzurri lead through an early Jose Gimenez own goal heading into the final 10 minutes, before adding some gloss to the scoreline through Eder and Daniele de Rossi.
La Celeste barely created a chance all evening, not helped by the absence of key duo Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani for the match in the south of France.
