Former Celtic and Bolton Wanderers boss Neil Lennon holds talks with Hibernian over becoming the club's new manager.

Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon has undergone talks with Hibernian regarding the vacant managerial position at the club.

The 44-year-old has been out of work since leaving Bolton Wanderers in March, and last week revealed that he was close to returning to Celtic Park before Brendan Rodgers was offered the job instead.

However, Lennon could be on the verge of a return to Scottish football anyway having held talks with Hibernian, who lost Alan Stubbs to Rotherham United earlier this week.

Hibs missed out on promotion from the Scottish Championship last season, but did win the Scottish Cup for the first time since 1902 courtesy of victory over Rangers at Hampden Park.

Lennon won three consecutive Premiership titles and two Scottish Cups during his time in charge of Celtic before his departure in 2014.
