FC Twente have edged out of the Eredivisie relegation places with a 2-1 win against Roda JC in Sunday's clash at De Grolsch Veste.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 25th minute when Hakim Ziyech's cross was emphatically nodded home by Jari Oosterwijk.
Just four minutes later they doubled their lead, with Ziyech involved once again to lay the ball off to Kamohelo Mokotjo, who rifled past Benjamin van Leer into the back of the Roda net.
The visitors halved the deficit with nine minutes left through Tomi Juric, but they couldn't find a decisive second as Twente saw the game out and clinched all three points.
Rene Hake's side climb to 15th in the Eredivisie table following their win, while Roda slip to seventh.
