Sam Allardyce denies reports that he has held talks with Everton over their vacant managerial job.

Sam Allardyce has denied reports that he has held talks with Everton over their vacant managerial job.

The former England boss has been strongly linked with the position at Goodison Park, and it had been claimed that the 63-year-old had already met the club's majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri.

Allardyce has revealed that there have been no discussions with Everton, but the experienced manager has confirmed that he would be interested in talking to the Toffees.

"Nothing, at the minute. I am sat at home about to go to St Andrew's for a League Managers' Association masterclass up there so I will be having a couple of days with one or two of my fellow managers," Allardyce told talkSPORT, before confirming that he had not met Moshiri.

"It's like everything else, if somebody comes calling, there's the opportunity to speak."

Allardyce has been without a job since leaving Crystal Palace at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.
