Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs. West Ham United

Sports Mole rounds up all of Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League fixture with West Ham United.

Chelsea square off against West Ham United on Saturday evening knowing that victory would move them significantly closer to claiming a top-four spot in the Premier League standings.

With six matches remaining in the top flight, the Blues only sit ahead of the Hammers on goal difference and two points clear of Liverpool.

Thomas Tuchel's side head into this encounter on the back of a goalless draw with Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday night, the game at Stamford Bridge effectively being made a sideshow given the developments of the European Super League.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of making the short trip to the London Stadium.

Mateo Kovacic

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscular
Possible return date: April 24 (vs. West Ham)

Since suffering a hamstring injury a day before the meeting with Porto on April 13, Kovacic has been ruled out of contention. With the first leg of their Champions League semi-final with Real Madrid just around the corner, Tuchel is unlikely to take any risks on the midfielder.

Thiago Silva

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscle fatigue
Possible return date: April 24 (vs. West Ham)

Having spoken about the defender's workload earlier this week, Tuchel is unlikely to use Silva against both West Ham and Real. With that in mind, the Brazilian could be restricted to the substitutes' bench for this contest.

CHELSEA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Chelsea have no suspension issues ahead of the game in East London.
