Silva believes his goalkeeper is not the only one whose performance needs to be looked at more closely.

Everton manager Marco Silva insists he will not single out goalkeeper Jordan Pickford for special treatment after another mistake by the England international.

Gareth Southgate's number one rushed out of his goal but got in a tangle with defender Kurt Zouma to allow Tottenham to crucially score the equaliser on their way to a 6-2 victory at Goodison Park.

It was the third error by Pickford which has led to a goal this season, the joint-worst record in the Premier League alongside Bournemouth's Asmir Begovic and Arsenal's Bernd Leno.

However, Silva believes his goalkeeper is not the only one whose performance needs to be looked at more closely.

"It is our job. Not just with Jordan, with all of them," he said.

"My job is to give them feedback. These type of things happen in the game.

"It is something which has happened in the last few matches but we have to give them feedback to stop it happening again."

Everton fell apart against Tottenham and that will be a concern for the Toffees' boss, who heads into the Boxing Day match at Burnley with his side worse off than 12 months ago when they were on their third manager of the campaign in Sam Allardyce having gone through Ronald Koeman.

They were ninth with 26 points last Christmas, compared to 11th with 24 this year albeit having played a match less.

Silva plans to address the issues raised in the Spurs game in an attempt to end a run of one win in seven.

"Like you expect, everything what I can say about our players I will say inside the dressing room," he added.

"They can be more smart. I already told them they have to be more aggressive, in football in general you have to be more aggressive if you want to do the right things.

"In this way you can compete. In the second half (against Tottenham) we didn't see that.

"We lost many things in our behaviour and our organisation and at this level you cannot.

"At half-time I told our players we could not concede any more goals and in the first two minutes of the second half we conceded again.

"Every time they went forward everything was easy for them. It is something to work on.

"We as a team didn't do enough in the match to block them, in many moments we could have done some things differently.

"We play the next match quickly and we have to keep together and realise how we achieved results before."
