How have Australian players performed in English football this season?

Over a dozen Australian players have plied their trade in the Premier League and EFL this season, but how have they performed for their respective clubs?

Australia's participation in last summer's World Cup led to the possibility of several of the Socceroos' squad moving to the Premier League and EFL, but there was very little business involving the players who featured in Russia. However, there are still 14 Australian players who have been plying their trade in the top four tiers of English football and they have enjoyed contrasting fortunes during the current campaign.

Like when accessing the Trustworthy Casino Sites List 2019, Brighton & Hove Albion knew what they were getting when signing Mathew Ryan from Valencia in 2017 and the goalkeeper has proven to be one of the club's most valuable additions in recent years. The 26-year-old has perhaps not replicated his performances from last year, but the stopper has helped Brighton remain away from an immediate relegation battle during his 27 outings. However, the same cannot be said of Aaron Mooy who has scored just twice in 24 appearances for Huddersfield Town. Both goals also came in the same fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers, and the Terriers never looked like avoiding relegation before it was confirmed last weekend.

You can benefit from bonuses at syndicate casino Australia and that is how Hull City may feel regarding Jackson Irvine, who has helped the club move away from the Championship relegation zone and into mid-table. The playmaker made three substitute outings at the World Cup, but five goals have come from 31 games in this season's second tier. Massimo Luongo has been one of the few shining lights for Queens Park Rangers with two goals and three assists coming from 35 starts, but it has been a frustrating campaign for many of the other second-tier players. Adam Federici, Bailey Wright and Callum Elder have barely featured for Stoke City, Bristol City and Ipswich Town respectively, while Mile Jedinak has made just 12 outings for Aston Villa. James Meredith and Ryan Williams have been regulars for Millwall and Rotherham United, but both find themselves in a relegation battle.

Like with online casino real money, you have to manage your finances accordingly when competing in League One. However, that is yet to prove to be the case for Swindon Town who signed Cameron McGilp from Birmingham City in January. The 21-year-old has been handed a two-and-a-half year contract, but the midfielder has not made a first-team appearance. Kenneth Dougall has enjoyed a more productive spell with Barnsley due to 19 starts and eight substitute outings being made at the third tier, and it has been enough to earn an international call-up over the past six months. Cameron Burgess has been a mainstay in the Scunthorpe United defence with 40 appearances coming in all competitions, but striker Brad Inman has only contributed four goals from 27 League One matches for Rochdale.
