Celtic boss Neil Lennon has claimed that Arsenal must improve their opening offer if they wish to sign Kieran Tierney.
The defender has been strongly linked with a switch to the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal look to strengthen in the full-back area.
The Gunners have allegedly failed with a bid in the region of £18m, leading to Lennon to suggest that the Premier League outfit are not close to meeting Celtic's valuation.
Lennon is quoted by The Telegraph as saying: "Arsenal are aware of what we value the player at. He is on a long-term contract, he is an asset and we don't want to sell him.
"It is going to take a lot more than what they have offered the first time around to give us a decision to make."
Tierney, a boyhood Celtic supporter, still has four years left on his contract with the Scottish Premiership champions.
