Former Arsenal and Manchester City defender Kolo Toure backs City to beat the Gunners in the final of the EFL Cup on Sunday.

Kolo Toure has backed Manchester City to beat Arsenal in the final of the EFL Cup with "no drama" if they play to the standard they have set themselves this season.

City saw their quadruple hopes shattered in stunning fashion when League One Wigan Athletic dealt them just their second domestic defeat of the entire campaign last weekend, but they remain on course for a potential treble and could wrap the first leg of that up at Wembley this Sunday.

Arsenal have a good recent record in finals at Wembley, but go into the game off the back of a shock home defeat to Ostersunds in the Europa League and Toure - who has played for both clubs during his career - believes that City will come out on top.

"Both teams play great football. Arsenal have a lot of experience of playing finals - this is the thing, but [if you ask me who I think is going to win] I will go for City," Toure told Sky Sports News.

"City at the moment are playing the best football in the league right now, even in Europe they are playing amazing football. If they play with the same performance level they are used to, there is no drama [for them] for sure."

The League Cup is the only major trophy Arsene Wenger has never won in English football.
