Arsene Wenger famously authorised the signing of Freddie Ljungberg without having seen him play live, but it proved to be a worthwhile risk as the Swede went on to enjoy a hugely successful nine-year stay at the club.
Ljungberg scored a number of key goals for the Gunners in that time, including becoming the first player for 40 years to find the back of the net in consecutive FA Cup finals - doing so in 2001 and 2002.
The winger scored 17 goals across all competitions in the latter campaign to help Arsenal to the league and cup double, scooping the Premier League Player of the Season award in the process, and he was also a key part of the team's Invincible season in 2004 - his second Premier League title in North London.
Ljungberg also won three FA Cups during his time at the club and, despite injuries hampering his progress towards the end of his stay, he still played in Arsenal's 2006 Champions League final against Barcelona.
Ljungberg eventually left to join West Ham United in 2007 having scored 71 goals in 313 appearances for Arsenal, including 46 in 216 Premier League outings.
