Kim Kardashian has filed for a divorce from Kanye West after almost seven years of marriage.
The pair became estranged in 2020 as West went through a serious episode of bipolar disorder that led to him making multiple unflattering comments about his wife - as well as mother-in-law Kris Jenner - on social media.
According to TMZ, their divorce proceedings are "as amicable as divorce can be" and they are both keen to abide by their prenuptial agreement and split their properties equally.
The couple have four children and Kardashian is said to have requested that she and West share legal and physical custody after their divorce goes through.
Rapper West, whose hits include 'Gold Digger', has an estimated worth of $1.3 billion (£928 million), while reality star Kardashian is said to be worth $780 million (£557 million).
