Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel has been hit with a five-place grid penalty for Sunday's Russian Grand Prix.

The penalty was issued following a gearbox change, which was needed after Vettel collided with teammate Kimi Raikkonen in the first lap of the Chinese Grand Prix earlier this month.

Vettel, who is looking for his first win for Ferrari this season, can start the race sixth on the grid at the highest.

The German is fourth in the drivers' standings, 42 points behind leader Nico Rosberg.
