West Ham United 'plotting Atiba Hutchinson swoop'

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic reportedly wants to take Atiba Hutchinson from former club Besiktas.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic is reportedly plotting a transfer raid on former club Besiktas for midfielder Atiba Hutchinson.

The Canadian international was a regular fixture in the Black Eagles side under Bilic last season.

According to Hurriyet, Bilic is looking to take Hutchinson to Upton Park, but Besiktas are holding out for €7m (£5m) while the Hammers are unwilling to bid higher than €5m.

Furthermore, the Turkish giants are facing an injury crisis in midfield. Tolgay Arslan and Veli Kavlak are long-term absentees and Hutchinson's possible departure would mean that the Istanbul club will need to sign a replacement before the end of the transfer window.

Hutchinson scored two goals in 43 appearances last season.
