West Ham United winger Robert Snodgrass is reportedly told that he is surplus to requirements at the club, despite only joining the Hammers from Hull City in January.

West Ham United winger Robert Snodgrass has reportedly been told that he is surplus to requirements at the Premier League club.

Snodgrass, 29, joined the Hammers in January but has so far been unable to hold down a spot in Slaven Bilic's starting XI, despite having impressed during his time at Hull City in the early stages of the 2016-17 campaign.

According to Sky Sports News, United have told Snodgrass that he is not needed at the club and will be allowed to leave either on a permanent or loan basis.

The Scotland international currently has three years left on his deal with the Hammers, who are thought to be in the middle of negotiations to bring Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho to East London.

Snodgrass has made 15 appearances for the Hammers since his £10m move from the Tigers.

William Carvalho takes part in a Portugal training session on November 11, 2013.
