Ipswich Town visited Vicarage Road on Saturday to play Watford knowing that a victory would see them return to the playoff places in the Championship.
However, it was the hosts who made the breakthrough in the 21st minute when Albert Riera took advantage of the space gifted to him by curling past Dean Gerken.
Ipswich hit back just five minutes into the second half thanks to Anthony Wordsworth, who calmly volleyed home an equaliser from close range.
Watford secured victory with two goals in as many minutes, with Gabriele Angella heading in his side's second in the 63rd minute before Lewis McGugan made it 3-1 with an emphatic finish from inside the box.
