Real Madrid are reportedly no longer interested in signing Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur as they have been underwhelmed by his performances in big matches.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has reportedly ruled out a move for Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen.

Zidane had apparently placed the Denmark international on his list of transfer targets for the summer window, along with the likes of Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Ferland Mendy and Paul Pogba.

Following Eriksen's underwhelming performance in Saturday's Champions League final defeat to Liverpool, however, reports in the Spanish media suggest that the Frenchman has been put off and wants to focus on strengthening in other areas of midfield.

Madrid are said to have been close to reaching an agreement with Tottenham for the 27-year-old, who is still valued highly by Spurs despite the fact that he will become a free agent in just over 12 months' time, but Zidane has been unimpressed by his displays in big matches.

The same report indicates that Los Blancos president Florentino Perez is not against the idea of signing Eriksen, although Zidane will have the final say on all signings.
