Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane admits that he is in the 'best' form of his career following his personal-best goal tally in September.

Tottenham Hotspur frontman Harry Kane has admitted that he is in the 'best' form of his career after he took his tally for club and country to 13 in the month of September.

After a drought in August, the 24-year-old reached a new personal best today as he notched two in Spurs' 4-0 win over Huddersfield Town.

Kane has now scored at least two goals in five of his last six outings for Spurs, while he also managed a brace in England's 4-0 win over Malta at the start of the month.

Asked if he has ever been in better form, Kane told reporters: "Probably not. Goals to games it is probably the best month I have had, especially after August.

"I feel good, I feel confident and I am there to put the goals away. We have to continue this after the international break."

Speaking about the victory over the Terriers, which extends Spurs' run of away Premier League wins to a club-record six, he added: "No game is straightforward but we got off to a great start. We wanted to come and put the pressure on.

"For the second goal, I was not sure whether I wanted to take it on my left, I saw the keeper come and was delighted to see it go in."

Kane now goes on to feature as part of the England side aiming to seal World Cup qualification with games against Slovenia and Lithuania.
