Rubin Kazan welcomed Levante on Thursday in the second leg of their last-16 tie in the Europa League with the two teams level at 0-0 from the first leg.
Both sides had chances in the first period, but neither could open the scoring with the tie remaining goalless at the interval.
The second period brought a similar chain of events, with neither side able to break the deadlock as the tie headed for extra time.
Finally the first goal of the tie arrived after 100 minutes when Jose Rondon converted from close range, before Vladimir Dyadyun wrapped up the win for Rubin with a cool finish late on.
