A late goal from Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa has handed Roma a 2-1 win over Lazio in the Rome derby in Serie A this evening.

Juan Iturbe opened the scoring inside the final 15 minutes before Filip Djordjevic headed in an equaliser inside the final 10 minutes.

However, the defender's late winner ensured that Roma will finish second and qualify for the group stage of the Champions League.

4.31pmGood afternoon! The penultimate round of fixtures in Serie A comes to a conclusion with the Rome derby this evening. There's next to nothing between these two sides in the current standings, with second place in the table still very much up for grabs. Let's start with a look at the team news...

4.32pmLAZIO STARTING XI: Marchetti, De Vrij, Basta, Gentiletti, Lulic, Mauri, Anderson, Parolo, Biglia, Candreva, Klose

4.33pmROMA STARTING XI: De Sanctis, Yanga-Mbiwa, Holebas, Torosidis, Manolas, Nainggolan, De Rossi, Keita, Iturbe, Totti, Florenzi

4.35pmFor the designated home side there are three changes following their defeat to Juventus in the Coppa Italia final last week. Federico Marchetti comes back in between the posts, while Lucas Biglia and Stefano Mauri are also recalled.

4.37pmMeanwhile, the visitors have made two changes from the side that started their come-from-behind win over Udinese last time out. Seydou Keita and Alessandro Florenzi both return to the starting lineup, leaving Miralem Pjanic and Victor Ibarbo on the bench.

4.39pmBoth sides will be desperate for victory this evening, not just to secure bragging rights over their local rivals, but because of what it will do to the table. Roma currently sit second, and know that a win tonight will guarantee that they finish as runners-up to champions Juventus, avoiding the qualifying round in the Champions League. Lazio still need to secure their Champions League qualification for next season, and can do so tonight if they avoid defeat, but the win would move their above their opponents and boost their chances of finishing second.

4.42pmLazio have been in mixed form in recent weeks. As well as losing the Coppa Italia final last week, Stefano Pioli's side have picked up just two wins in their last six league outings. Roma have been on a decent run though, winning three of their last four.

4.44pmAt his pre-match press conference, Lazio coach Stefano Pioli said: "Finals are there to be won and it hurts to lose one. Our Coppa adventure has ended but we are still alive in Serie A. I've told my players to move on and to think of Monday's game. We deserve to play in the Champions League but we have to earn it on the pitch."

4.46pmMeanwhile, Pioli's opposite number, Rudi Garcia, told the Roma website: "Against Lazio we can seal automatic qualification for the Champions League. We can win or draw against the Biancoceleste but we are not going to play for a point. It's a derby and we want to win it. My players showed against Udinese that they can deliver when they are up against it. We had cool heads, played as a team and kept a high tempo. All great teams need those qualities."

4.48pmHere's a look at the visitors going through their warmup a few minutes ago. Stadio Olimpico is officially the home ground for both Rome sides, but it's Lazio who have home advantage tonight, with their supporters taking up the majority of the seats:

4.51pmThere has not been much between these two sides when they've played in recent years, with three of their last five meetings ending in a draw. When the teams played earlier in the season, Roma had to come from two goals down to take a point, after Lazio had netted twice in four minutes in the first half.

4.54pmPREDICTION! The players should be making their way out imminently, so there's just time for a quick prediction. There really has been very little between these two sides this season, and while both would love a win against their rivals, a draw suits both in terms of securing their current places int he table, so I'm going for a 1-1 draw.

4.57pmJust to remind you, the Serie A season comes to a conclusion on Sunday, when all 20 teams will play their final fixtures of the season. Lazio finish their season against top-three rivals Napoli, while Roma will host Palermo.

4.59pmThis match had originally been scheduled to take place yesterday, but Lazio asked for it to be pushed back because of their involvement in the Coppa Italia final, giving them more time to recover.

5.00pmRight then, the players are making their way out of the tunnel ready for kickoff. They're greeted by a not-quite full Stadio Olimpico, but both sets of fans are in fine voice this evening.

5.01pmThe Lazio fans form the club's Eagle crest as the players line up ready to get the action underway:

1 minKICKOFF! Roma get the action underway.

2 minIt doesn't take long for the first free kick to be awarded as Gentiletti catches the heel of Francesco Totti. The veteran striker lines a shot up from distance, but it's nothing for Federico Marchetti to worry about.

5 minLazio get forward for the first time, with Antonio Candreva attempting to cross the ball into the path of Miroslav Klose, but De Santis tips it clear before the German striker can get a boot to it. It's been a positive start by both sides so far!

7 minCHANCE! Klose is within a couple of inches of opening the scoring as he throws himself towards a cross from Candreva again, this time meeting it with a bullet header, but it's a fraction wide of the right upright. Daniele de Rossi is furious with his Roma teammates, as the left Klose bags of room at the back. The visitors have had no discipline at the back so far, and it almost cost them then.

8 minLazio's high ball is causing all sorts of problems for Roma at the moment as Lulic floats a long one into the Roma box, but De Sanctis beats Klose to it. Rudi Garcia is screaming instructions at his side from his technical area, and they manage to get down the other end and force a free kick in a promising position. Lazio's defenders are well-organised though, leaving Felipe Anderson to clear it.

9 minBOOKING! Francesco Totti is stunned as he picks up the first yellow card of the game. He can't have any complaints though, as he did catch the ankles of Anderson as he brought the ball out from the back.

10 minCHANCE! De Sanctis is keeping Roma is this match at the moment as Anderson slides the ball in for Biglia, leaving the winger to strike the ball on the turn, but the keeper is ready to make a comfortable stop.

13 minRoma try to catch their opponents out with a quick counter attack, with Florenzi charging down the right flank. The striker is forced out wide, preventing him from taking on the shot himself, while Totti is too slow to arrive, so the move comes to nothing.

15 minTotti tries to get forward for Roma again, but finds himself knocked down by Parolo. The veteran striker has been a bit of marked man so far, and having already been booked, he'll need to keep his calm if he wants to make it to full time.

17 minLazio force the first corner of the match as Candreva charge into the box. He trice tries to deliver the ball in from the corner flag, but Roma just about manage to scamble it clear. Lulic has it back straight away in midfield though, but Yanga-Mbiwa blocks his charge.

19 minTempers flare as Totti is brought down again. Lazio claim that the already booked striker made the most of it, while Radja Nainggolan urges the referee to book Candreva for the foul, resulting in the pair exchanging shoves right in front of Nicola Rizzoli, but the referee separates them quickly. From what we've seen so far, it wouldn't be a surprise if this match finished with less than 22 men on the pitch.

21 minLazio win a free kick around 30 yards out, and Candreva tries to curl it on for one of his teammates, but none of them manage to get a head to it to nod it in.

22 minBOOKING! A reckless challenge from Senas Lulic on Juan Manuel Iturbe earns the Lazio man a booking. The Roma striker is furious as he's left in pain on the turf. Once again the players surround the referee, offering their opinion about the challenge, but the referee sticks to his original decision of a yellow for the defender.

25 minCandreva passes the ball out wide to Dusan Basta, but Jose Holebas beats the Lazio man to the ball and forces him to turn it behind for a goal kick. That's one of the rare bits of good defending that Roma have offered so far.

28 minLazio try to catch Florenzi out with an offside trap, but Basta goes with the striker instead, playing him on, and has to turn it behind for a corner. Roma can't create anything from the set piece though, as the home side quickly clear it. Lazio try to get the ball to Klose with a quick counter-attack, but Mauri gives the ball away in the centre.

30 minBasta tries to force a chance for Lazio, picking out Klose with a long ball again, but the striker is beaten to the ball by De Sanctis. It wouldn't have counted though, as a late flag from the assistant referee confirmed that Klose was offside.

32 minBOOKING! Seydou Keita battled hard with Santiago Gentiletti while trying to make his way down the right flank for Roma, but he's tripped by the Lazio defender, which leaves Rizzoli reaching for his yellow card again.

34 minFrom the resulting free kick, a long ball into the box falls for Iturbe. His shot is blocked, but it almost falls to Keita, but he just appears to lose his footing as he tries to sprint towards it, allowing Basta to clear.

35 minLazio quickly force a free kick right on the edge of the box down the other end when Nainggaolan rashly shoves Anderson down. Biglia curls it in, leaving Candreva to drive it towards goal, but it's deflected behind for a corner.

36 minBOOKING! Lucas Biglia is the fourth player to pick up a yellow card so far in this match, going in late on Alessandro Florenzi.

39 minLazio just seem to be keeping the ball in the middle as half time is approaching. The home side have certainly had the better of the chances so far in the first half, but they surely can't afford to sit back.

40 minRoma manage to catch Lazio out as Florenzi steals the ball away, rushing towards the Lazio goal before sliding it forward for Itube, but Marchetti, who really hasn't had much to do so far, rushes out to claim it.

42 minFelipe Anderson makes a brilliant run down the right for Lazio, shaking of Nainggolan before curling it in towards Klose and Candreva, but his delivery is a little ahead of the duo, allowing De Sanctis to take it.

44 minAnderson shows superb control to bring a high ball down in the box before forcing a corner, giving Lazio an opportunity to open the scoring just before half time, but Candreva's delivery is easily cleared by Torosidis. Lazio have had a few corners so far, but they haven't really put Roma under pressure from their set pieces.

45+1 minA mis-placed pass from De Rossi is accidentally headed by the referee, giving the ball back to Lazio. The midfielder tries to stop the home side creating anyting, but ends up fouling Parolo, giving away a free kick. Candreva tries his luck from over 40 yards out, and manages to win a corner.

45+2 minHALF TIME: Lazio 0-0 Roma

5.51pmAfter a fairly open first 15 minutes, it's turned into a fairly gritty and highly-charged Rome derby, with neither side finding the back of the net so far. Miroslav Klose had the best chance of the opening 45 minutes, but Roma have shown promise on the counter-attack.

5.53pmThe home side have dominated possession so far, with 63% of the ball in the first half. They've also had seven shots, two of which have been on target, while Roma have had just one shot, although Alessandro Florenzi has provided a couple of promising crosses than none of his teammates have been able to connect with.

5.56pmDiscipline has also been a bit of a issue in the first half. Lazio have had three of their players booked, while Francesco Totti for Roma is also on a caution. The Lazio defenders have been working hard to try to frustrate the striker since he picked up his early yellow, but he's kept his calm so far. Tempers have flared elsewhere though, with the players clashing a couple of times over challenges and free kicks.

5.59pmBoth sides have options on the bench should they need to make changes. Roma's defending has been patchy so far, but they have Maicon and Ashley Cole among their options on the bench. Lazio are relying too heavily on Klose, so might bring on someone like Keita Balde or Filip Djordjevic to give them some more fire power.

6.02pmThe players are starting to make their way back out for the start of the second half.

46 minRESTART! Lazio get the action back underway.

47 minBoth sides remain unchanged so far. Lazio have the ball at the start of the second period, but they're just patiently keeping it in the middle so far. Klose tries to make a break forward, but loses out in challenge from Yanga-Mbiwa.

48 minCHANCE! From nowhere, Dusan Basta unleashes a powerful low strike from the edge of the box, and he appears to have the keeper beaten, but it swerves just wide of the left post.

51 minThe start of the second half has been much like the end of the first. Lazio continue to dictate the play, looking to attack as often as possible, but they can't find the end product. Roma are leaving too many gaps at the back, and their attacking players are pretty much anonymous.

52 minBOOKING! Vasileios Torosidis is the latest player to go in the book, seemingly for being a bit too vocal towards the referee after Lulic, who has already been booked, gave away a free kick on the edge of the Lazio box.

53 minIturbe lines up the resulting free kick, but it's a poor delivery, neither testing the keeper nor forcing a save from Marchetti. Aside from claiming a couple of through-balls and crosses, it's been a quiet afternoon for the Lazio keeper so far.

54 minIturbe charges towards the Lazio goal as Roma try to make the mos of one of their better spells of possession, forcing a corner. Nainggolan gets a shot away from the resulting corner, but it's cleared. Iturbe gets a second chance when it comes back in, but he loses out in an aerial battle with Klose.

55 minSUB! Rather unsurprisingly, Senas Lulic is the first player to be subbed, having already been booked. Luis Pedro Cavanda takes his place.

57 minIt looks like the crowd could be getting a bit restless as a flare makes it way onto the pitch in front of the Roma fans. The referee stops play briefly, but Marchetti acts quickly, picking it up and throwing it off the pitch.

60 minSUB! Roma make their first change of the evening, and it's the 38-year-old Francesco Totti making his way off, making way for Victor Ibarbo.

62 minBOOKING! Miroslav Klose slides into Yanga-Mbiwa's ankles, taking the defender clean off his feet and earning the striker a booking.

64 minCavandra tries to create something down the left, cutting the ball back into the box, but Ibarbo is back to help clear the danger for the visitors. While there's been plenty happening in the second half, there haven't been many chances yet.

65 minMauri and Candreva link up down the left, with the latter delivering a well-timed cross, but it's cleared by Holebas before Klose can get to it. Cavandra battles to keep the move alive for Lazio, but loses out to Manolas.

67 minCandreva is forward again as Lazio seem to have a little more urgency about them in the last five minutes. The winger has to work to get past Manolas, but Yanga-Mbiwa blocks the ball as it's played in to Klose. Klose is looking a bit frustrated, as he really has lacked quality service this afternoon. The likes of Candreva and Anderson have been sending plenty in for him, but they've lacked accuracy and quality.

68 minSUB! Roma make a second change, sending on Miralem Pjanic in place of Seydou Keita.

69 minCHANCE! Florenzi controls a superb ball forward from De Rossi to get a shot away from just a few yards out, but Basta deflects it behind for a corner. That might just have been Roma's best chance so far.

70 minCHANCE! Victor Ibarbo comes closer still from the resulting corner for the visitors as the delivery drops kindly for the winger on the edge of the six-yard box, but he pokes it just wide.

73 minGOAL! Lazio 0-1 Roma (Juan Manuel Iturbe)

73 minVictor Ibarbo makes up for his miss a few minutes earlier as he provides the assist for the opening goal of the match. The winger bursts into the box as Nainggolan plays it in. He cuts it back into the path of the onrushing Iturbe, who hits it first time to find the bottom corner and give the visitors the lead.

74 minBOOKING! Iturbe celebrated by taking his shirt off, so goes in the book.

75 minRoma want to seal the win now as Nainggolan charges forward looking for Iturbe again, but the striker isn't quite ready for it.

76 minSUB! Lazio respond, taking Stefano Mauri off for the more attacking Filip Djordjevic.

79 minLazio don't appear to have enough left in the tank as they try to get back on level terms. The home side are pressing forward, but they're too reliant on the long ball, with Klose still stranded up front without decent service.

80 minSUB! Lazio make their final change, sending on Danilo Cataldi in place of Lucas Biglia.

82 minGOAL! Lazio 1-1 Roma (Filip Djordjevic)

82 minWhat a fantastic goal for Lazio! Felipe Anderson uses his pace down the right, and once again looks for Miroslav Klose. The veteran striker realises that Filip Djordjevic, who hasn't been on all that long, is in a better position though, and nods it back for the striker to blast past De Sanctis, who is livid that his defenders left both strikers unmarked.

84 minSUB! Roma have one last roll of the dice, taking of goalscorer Iturbe to bring on Seydou Doumbia

85 minGOAL! Lazio 1-2 Roma (Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa)

85 minThe visitors have a free kick out wide around 30 yards out. Pjanic curls it in, and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa gets the slightest of touches on it to glance it past the keeper. There's a hint of offside, but the assistant's flag stayed down. It's a rare goal for the Frenchman, and he looks delighted with it.

86 minBOOKING! Allessandro Florenzi is the latest player to be shown the yellow, seemingly for something he said to the referee.

88 minLazio desperately charge back down the other end as they seeks another equaliser. De Rossi is back to help the defenders though, before Yanga-Mbiwa heads it away.

90 minNainggolan launches Roma on the counter-attack as they try to put the win beyond doubt. He cuts it out wide to Pjanic, who then crosses in for Doumbia, but the striker can't quite get his head to it.

90+1 minLazio have five minutes of stoppage time to try to find an equaliser, much to the bewilderment of Roma coach Rudi Garcia.

90+3 minCavanda delivers a deep cross in for Klose at the far post, but the striker loses out to Holebas in the air. Lazio certainly haven't given up yet, but they need to be sending in better balls than that if they're to rescue a point.

90+5 minIbarbo and Cavandra battle down the other end as Roma look for a third. The assistant awards Lazio a goal kick, but following the Roma man's protests, it's given as a corner. The visitors use it just to run down the clock.

90+5 minFULL TIME: Lazio 1-2 Roma

6.56pmSo, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa's late winner seals Roma a second-placed finish in Serie A and a spot in the group stage of next year's Champions League. The substitutes rush off the bench as the full-time whistle sounds to celebrate, while Lazio look gutted.

6.58pmLazio will still be in the Champions League if they avoid a heavy defeat to Napoli in their final game of the season.

6.59pmWell, that's all from this match, but join us again on Sunday when we'll have coverage of the final round of fixtures in this season's Serie A. Until then, thanks for joining me this evening. Goodbye.
