Real Madrid want to sign Bayern Munich defender David Alaba in this summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Real Madrid are reportedly considering a summer move for Bayern Munich defender David Alaba.

Sergio Reguilon has ousted Marcelo to become Madrid's first-choice left-back in recent months, with the 22-year-old proving to be one of the team's best performers during a difficult period.

However, according to Don Balon, Los Blancos are eyeing a swoop for Alaba, who has made 333 appearances for Bayern since stepping into the first team in 2010.

Widely regarded as one of the best full-backs in the world, the 26-year-old has contributed two goals and four assists in 32 appearances for Bayern during the 2018-19 campaign.

Madrid are expected to splash the cash this summer, having struggled during the 2018-19 campaign.

The European champions have also been linked with a big-money swoop for Paris Saint-Germain attacker Neymar, while Gareth Bale could be heading for Manchester United in this summer's transfer window.
