How Paris Saint-Germain could line up against Amiens

Sports Mole looks at how Paris Saint-Germain could line up on their return to Ligue 1 action against Amiens.

Paris Saint-Germain return to Ligue 1 action this weekend with a trip to Amiens, three days on from their shock Coupe de la Ligue defeat at the hands of Guingamp.

The French giants lost 2-1 at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night to see their 49-match domestic unbeaten run come to an end.

Attention now switches back to the league following a three-week break, and manager Thomas Tuchel has a few selection calls to make.

Ahead of Saturday's clash, Sports Mole look at how the perennial champions could line up.

Possible PAR XI vs. AMI

Out: Colin Dagba, Adrien Rabiot, Lassana Diarra
Doubtful: Presnel Kimpembe

Tuchel fielded a fairly strong side for the quarter-final clash with Guingamp, with Edinson Cavani, Marco Verratti and Dani Alves all coming off the bench to join the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe on the field.

After being given time to rest over the past few weeks, all five of those players should start against Amiens, while Gianluigi Buffon is in line to replace Alphonse Areola in goal.

Diarra is believed to be on the brink of retiring from football and Rabiot appears to be on the brink of an exit, so both men will remain absent this weekend, as will Kimpembe after injuring his groin.

Elsewhere, Julian Draxler is in contention for a central-midfield berth after starting five of PSG's last six games either side of the winter break.
