David de Gea says that Manchester United against Liverpool is "the biggest game in England".

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has said that his team's fixture against Liverpool is "the biggest game in England".

United will welcome Liverpool to Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon with both teams determined to secure all three points.

The Red Devils are currently fourth in the Premier League table, while Liverpool are second, only behind leaders Manchester City on goal difference.

United have not lost a league game since Liverpool beat them at Anfield in December and De Gea is desperate for his side to triumph on Sunday.

"It's the biggest game in England," De Gea told United Review. "It's a very special game, for the fans, the club and the players and, above all, when it's at Old Trafford, it's always even more of an occasion.

"It's just a massive game. We aim to enjoy and, of course, we'll be trying our best to win it!"

United recorded a 2-1 victory in the corresponding clash at Old Trafford last season, with Marcus Rashford scoring a double for the home side.
