A report claims that Manchester City are the favourites to sign Bologna midfielder Amadou Diawara at the end of the season.

Manchester City have reportedly emerged as the favourites to sign Bologna midfielder Amadou Diawara.

The 18-year-old, who joined Bologna from San Marino last summer, has made 25 appearances in all competitions for his Italian club this season.

A host of European clubs have been linked with a move for the Guinea-born midfielder, but according to Corrierre di Bologna, Man City are hoping to purchase the teenager for a figure in the region of £12m.

Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also believed to have scouted Diawara this season.
