Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers reportedly sets his sights on a possible reunion with Daniel Sturridge, who he worked with at Liverpool.

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers is reportedly considering a reunion with Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge this summer.

The 29-year-old is due to become a free agent at the end of the season and the Reds have offered little indication that he will be part of their plans beyond that point.

A move to Major League Soccer is believed to be an option for Sturridge, but The Sun suggests that he may be offered the chance to stay in the Premier League with Leicester.

Rodgers spent time with Sturridge at Anfield, coming close to winning the title together in the 2013-14 campaign, and the report claims that he is interested in working with the Englishman again.

Sturridge has struggled with injuries in recent years, and he has managed just 10 league goals in the past three seasons, but his free-agent status makes him an attractive proposition.

Rodgers took over at the King Power Stadium two months ago, inheriting a squad that already includes Kelechi Iheanacho, Shinji Okazaki and Jamie Vardy.
