How Liverpool could line up against Brighton & Hove Albion

Sports Mole looks at how Liverpool could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion as Fabinho misses out through suspension.

Liverpool could equal their longest ever top-flight unbeaten run when they welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Anfield on Saturday.

The Reds have already enjoyed the third-longest undefeated streak in Premier League history courtesy of last weekend's 2-1 win over Crystal Palace, making it 37 points from a possible 39 so far this season.

However, their 17-match winning streak at Anfield came to an end on Wednesday when Napoli held them to a 1-1 draw, and more dropped points this weekend would give the chasing pack an opportunity to close the eight-point gap.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Liverpool could line up against the Seagulls.

Out: Fabinho (suspended), Joel Matip (knee), Nathaniel Clyne (knee)
Doubtful: Naby Keita (illness)

Liverpool's disappointment at their midweek draw was only exacerbated by Fabinho being forced off with an ankle injury after only 19 minutes.

The Brazilian was already ruled out of this weekend's game through suspension having picked up his fifth booking of the season last weekend, but will now miss the whole of December as well, starting with next week's Merseyside derby.

The big question for Klopp as far as Brighton are concerned is who to play in place of Fabinho; Georginio Wijnaldum replaced him off the bench in midweek and made a slight suggestion that he may be called upon in that role again, but Adam Lallana, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jordan Henderson have also featured in the deeper position this year.

Lallana's creativity could see him handed another chance in a relatively unfamiliar position, particularly against a Brighton side that have a poor away record and will be expected to sit deep for much of the match.

Wijnaldum is still likely to return to the side in place of James Milner, while Trent Alexander-Arnold will also come back in having been rested in midweek.

Salah came through the Napoli game unscathed and is expected to start again having scored the winner in both meetings with Brighton last season, although Klopp may be beginning to think of rotation with his side having now entered a run of 12 games in 37 days.

Naby Keita should be available to bolster Klopp's options following an illness, but Joel Matip remains sidelined and Nathaniel Clyne is a long-term absentee.
