Andrew Robertson suggests that Mohamed Salah can score even more goals next season, dismissing fears that his Liverpool teammate is a one-season wonder.

Liverpool full-back Andrew Robertson has insisted that there is even more to come from Mohamed Salah following his record-breaking debut campaign at Anfield.

The Egypt international notched 32 goals in the Premier League - an English top-flight record in a 38-game season - and added 11 more in other competitions.

Salah played a vital role in Liverpool's run to the Champions League final, earning comparisons to superstar forwards Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, and Robertson believes that his teammate now needs to push on next season.

"The amount of goals he scores is incredible, but the amount of chances he has... I spoke to him a couple of weeks ago about his goals and stuff, and he said to me 'it should have been a lot more'," The Mirror quotes him as saying.

"He's had some unbelievable chances so credit to him for getting in the positions, and that's why he's confident of scoring all the time, because he's getting in the positions.

"They've done it for six or seven seasons and he's just done it one. But I've got no doubt Salah can build on it and do it over that period of time.

"It's the way the gaffer wants him to play, so hopefully he can continue and really build on it and become one of the names alongside Messi and Ronaldo."

Salah has been named in Egypt's 23-man squad for the upcoming World Cup, despite damaging his shoulder in Liverpool's 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid last month.
