Jurgen Klopp reveals that he will have a year-long break from football when his time with Liverpool comes to an end.

Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he will have a year-long break from football when his time with Liverpool comes to an end.

The Reds boss has had a difficult Premier League campaign this term, with several injuries to first-team defenders and a poor run of form at Anfield since the turn of the year, which has seen his side slip out of the title race and now chasing a top-four finish.

The victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday night was only their second in the last eight league matches, and they currently sit five points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.

Klopp, who has recently been linked with the German national team job, has insisted that he needs time off and will not be persuaded to take another role during his break, regardless of the offer.

"When Liverpool finish, it's definitely a year's break. No one needs to call, not after four months or after six. No matter who tries it, it's a year's shift," Klopp said during an interview with compatriot Lothar Matthaus for Bild.

Klopp will now be keeping a close eye on the Champions League draw on Friday, with the Reds hoping to reach their second final in three years.
